This Bill seems to be aimed at stopping Klickitat County from doing cougar removals.

Boy! They’re really going for it this year ain’t they. I’m afraid that the state is more than likely going to split apart at the seams violently.

Yup, they will pass what they want.  Nothing to stop them, and now they are gonna make gathering signatures almost impossible for future petitions.

Between the 25k firearms insurance bill, the wood stoves ban, the above written bill and the no debate on proposed bills.  I’m pretty sure that they are just going hog wild or maybe drunk on power. I think we’ll be forced to either comply or disregard them completely.  It’s truly impressive to take in wholly.

What’s the woodstove ban? Can you fill me in on this one?

Possibly this is the Bill he is talking about. https://lawfilesext.leg.wa.gov/biennium/2025-26/Pdf/Bills/Senate%20Bills/5174.pdf?q=20250126212120

I don't see where it bans wood stoves but after a quick read I don't understand the purpose of the Bill.

agree, except I’d add, move out.  Still wondering if our democrats friends on this forum are feeling guilty yet??

I don't believe they do feel guilty, in fact I unfortunately can only assume they support all of these bills. My observations over the years on this forum have been that there is always an attentive group of blue voters who are constantly chomping at the bit to passionately disagree with 'the HuntWA community' around National topics. It's as if they don't actually consider themselves part of this community and only come here to look down their noses at the ruffians that need to be brought to heel. Yet when it comes to controversial Washington State topics such as these kinds of bills, those same ravenously vocal antagonists just up and vanish like Keyser Soze. On the rare occasion they do happen to participate in the discussion, its only to squabble over semantics and never to offer their actual opinion on the matter.

Perfect explanation!  Or they just say they’re not a democrat and continue to support them thru arguments.

This is what I found....

"SB 5174 is part of a larger movement to phase out traditional wood-burning devices altogether. It’s the same logic we’ve seen applied to gas stoves, leaf blowers, and even internal combustion vehicles. The playbook is simple: regulate these items so heavily that they become impractical or unaffordable, and eventually, people will stop using them. It’s a backdoor ban, plain and simple."
