I put in a couple hundred miles over the past two weekends in Vail checking out areas for bears. So far, very little sign around the Skookumchuck and Newaukum drainage to the windmills. What's really depressing is zero grouse in all those miles. A few deer, lots of Barred Owls, a few rabbits, elk, and hares but zero grouse. Anyone else doing any better in Vail?
