Youth Idaho Brownlee Cow Tag
« on: October 30, 2025, 09:25:18 AM »
My 11 year old grandson has a youth cow tag in the Brownlee (unit 31).  Season is open now and runs to November 14th.  But because of other activities he hasn't been able to get out.  But he has Monday and Tuesday off from school and we plan to give it a good go for the next four or five days.  My son has some areas that he wants to start with.  But I thought I would reach out to see if anyone had some knowledge of the area and possibly any landowners that might be willing to grant permission to a youth hunter.

TIA

I’m headed over to that unit tomorrow morning. I have the any bull tag. If you PM me your number, we could keep in touch and I can let you know if we’re seeing cows. Maybe we could swap info.

We hunted 31 for deer this year. We did see a couple cows and 1 bull “colored” elk off the South side of the Brownlee 50085 road. We saw them from the road a couple times 1.8 miles West of Highway 71. We Al’s saw elk from the highway just South of the Brownlee road by a loading chute.
