Trigger Pull
«
on:

Just curious to see what other people set their trigger pulls to. I am taking mine in to have it adjusted in the next week or so, probably have it taken down to about 3.5lbs, maybe even a little lighter than that.
Bored and curious = a new poll on the board. haha.

First thing I do to any of my guns... Trigger springs, adjustments, stoning, sear/disconnect angle changes or all of the above for realiable crisp function. Every rifle trigger of mine is not identical to the next, but a few are pretty close.

A good trigger pull will make almost anyone shoot much better. I like 2 lbs for an all around rifle, but everyone has their own preferences.

On any rifle where I may be wearing gloves I don't like going much lower than 2. 1.5-2.5 is a pretty good range for most field applications.

in order for trigger pull adjustments to work properly you want it to break smoothly too by eliminating any creep in the trigger as well.

you really don't want that thing going off accidentally because you goofed something up trying to adjust it.

I wish I could change my Ruger over to two stage, or a double set would be really killer.
