Thanks guys.  No Timmybob, i was just using my point and shoot Lumix.  I just held it underneath and pulled the trigger and was hoping I was focusing on something appropriate.  I was just looking at doing something different with the light and the flowers.  I have alot of flowers.  Bug pics are fun, but trying to do something different.

Bone what setting did you have it on? I was messing with that kind of shot one day. I couldnt get them to turn out worth a crap.

have it on auto and make sure you have it on macro focus.  (the little flower on your screen)  Key it so make sure you are centered (where your focus point is) on about what you are shooting.
