Got a great deal on a jet sled
« on: December 02, 2025, 09:05:17 PM »
Found this on CL. Original owner died in 2016. His son wasn’t a boater or fishing guy so it sat covered next to his garage. Took it to a dealer and had them go through and replace whatever needed to be done so they could sell it. Dealer took it in on consignment. 2005 North River Mariner 18’.
Dealer drained gas, serviced engine and found out it had 45hrs on it, the 8hp kicker hrs are unknown but can’t be that much. New water pump impeller in both and new jet pump impeller cause it had a Knick in it.
They were asking $16500 I offered $14500 and they took it. This boat is basically new other than it needs a good cleaning.

No gouges or dents in the hull at all. Shop bill was just under $4000. Not paid by me. Can’t wait for skinny water and winter SH

Fair amount of deck space, especially with the top down or off. The 8hp kicker does have electric start, but no power trim. The main engine is the 115/80hp 4 stroke.

My wife wonders why I'm randomly checking CL or Marketplace. It's for reasons just lime this. I've found some amazing deals just because I happened to not be looking for anything in particular. Great boat at an unbeatable price. Congrats.

There’s a 2006 North River Seahawk with a 90hp prop on CL right now. I think they changed the name from Mariner to Seahawk in 2006. Not that they’ll get their price, but it’s listed at $37,500.

It was only on CL for a short time, less than a day. When I went to look at it I thought for sure it was going to be all beat up at the price they had it at, I saw it, talked to the salesman and told him what I’d offer. He called them up and they accepted so I told the salesman consider it sold. I had just sold my Rzr SxS the night before so I had the cash in my safe at home. Probably be one of my best deals I’ve gotten on toys like this.

Was just gonna say that.  Every year I get a little closer to selling the Wooldridge and buying something with a prop, I like to actually use my boat and not just stare at it out the kitchen window.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

That’s a long time to sit without use. I would change all the fuel
Lines and pull the floors to see what condition the bottom is in and if it has water logged foam.

It was completely gone through at the dealer who had it. Engine was serviced and inspected. There was just under $4000 service bill that the seller paid for.

Sweet find.

I’m always looking but don’t have the money for a sled.

I’d hit a lake and make sure everything is in good working order before I hit the Cowlitz, or any other river for that matter! :twocents:

Very good advice. run up to Mayfield lake and run it for awhile. Its only 10 minutes from Barrier. 15 minutes from Blue creek and 20 minutes from Mission launch.

They took it out and ran it around after they serviced it. I actually already took it it out for a couple hrs, it ran great other than the bracket for the reverse bucket broke, the 2 little bolts holding the bracket sheared off, I called them and they said bring it in and they’ll fix it. Easy fix other than they need to drop the jet drive cause they can’t get a drill bit straight above the bolts. The dealer (US Marine sales) in Lacey has been great. They’re fixing it on their dime although it was sold on consignment, all the other work they did they billed the guy who consigned it.
