CCW 2025 recap. Officially a 501 (C) 4() non-profit.
« on: December 27, 2025, 11:40:03 AM »
Thank you all for supporting CCW this past year. We wish you a Merry Christmas and a strong close to 2025. This was the Coalition’s biggest year yet—marked by growth, unity, and real change in Washington. None of this would have been possible without you, and we are deeply grateful to the partners and friends who amplified our work and stood behind our mission.

In 2025, CCW engaged directly in the legislative process, keeping our community informed on firearm and natural resource bills. While no wolf or commission reform bills passed, sportsmen made their voices heard statewide. Public advocacy helped overturn Governor Inslee’s appointments and remove Tim Ragen and Lynn O’Connor. Governor Ferguson reappointed Molly Linville and Jim Anderson and appointed Victor Garcia, with Jim Anderson now serving as chair—working to restore science-based wildlife management, balance, and integrity.

Because of community advocacy, we protected the fall bear season and prevented additional losses to cougar regulations. We also worked alongside HOWL on multiple Washington actions and partnered with Sportsmen’s Alliance on an amicus brief before the Washington State Supreme Court.

Transparency was a major focus this year. CCW released public records exposing commissioner misconduct, corruption, ties to animal-rights groups, and anti-hunting funding sources, including those connected to Seattle Seahawks owner Jody Allen. We also released records involving the Governor’s Office. As a result, commissioners remain under investigation by state HR following records submitted by multiple groups and direction from Governor Ferguson.

Internally, CCW became a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, allowing us to formally engage in advocacy and lobbying. We are everyday men and women volunteering to protect wildlife and our hunting heritage. Thank you for standing with us—this fight continues.
