2026 Sheds “Found one”
« on: January 16, 2026, 05:34:41 AM »
Found one recently.
Pretty chewed up ,think it was last year's.
Every tip chewed on,brown on the dirt side.
Cut all the points off ,gave it to dog.

Looked like others had been in there, lots of foot prints down the deer trails.
Sucks when your coyote hunting, never made a setup ,too busy looking for sheds....lol

Mods need to start a 2026 shed topic. Please/thank you.

Man, you got the jump on the rest of us... :chuckle:
Nice find
You must be a better shed hunter than me... I'd have added that one to my pitiful shed pile.  I would just have turned the points so it didn't look chewed..

Found this pair on the Westside at 3800' yesterday. Snow didn't start until 4k, and the summit we climbed at just under 6k was snow free (melted out)! Wild for mid January.

My dog brought me one this weekend. It still had blood on the base. I had 3 other bucks behind my house yesterday two were still packing one had lost one side.

I passed on this buck this year. Hopefully I can get my son on him this year.

That's a pretty one.  I'd be excited to hang a tag on him.

I am hoping he turns out like his dad. This buck only turns up at night. I took this after the season when he was rutting.

Found one last weekend, not a fresh one, but in decent shape. First time my dog has brought me one, he usually steps right over them  :chuckle:

I found the little light colored one in January behind the farm on my way to jump shoot some ducks. Pretty neat because I have a few months of pictures of that buck wearing it. The dark 3 point I found the next day laying on a mainline headed out of the woods. Looked all over for the match but couldn’t find anything else.

Deer can go days with one antler still on and cover a ton of ground.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
