Not sure where to put this so start here.  Just picked up a unique, solid 1951 survivor, 14' aluminum boat built in Spokane. 
Want to keep everything period correct.
I'm getting some good contacts and options on motors, always take more.  18 - 25 hp motor 1951- 1952.  I have a 2hp Elgin located.
Will need a trailer sooner than later.  I'm sure it will need work too.  Trailer on now just for moving around in shop. 
Looking for contacts for hand lettering 50's font and maybe pin striping.  Will be one of the last steps.  I might do the strip and paint.
Trying to get it all lined out. 

Wife thinks I've gone nuts but gave me a pass, after just finishing my fishing boat project.  Told her this one is preserving history.

I've located an outboard in California, but they don't want to mess with shipping.  It will be a restoration project too.  Anyone passing thru the Redding area that would be willing to pick it up?  Willing to help with fuel costs.

I have a 1958 16ft fiberglass tri-hull I got from my dad who got it from my uncle. I need to redo all of the wood and fiberglass on the inside but it’s a project for later. Eventually I’d like to paint Match it green with my 1974 highboy. Might start on it this summer.

I've narrowed it down to these.  In case anyone has one laying around.  Trying to stick with tillers.  10hp doesn't require registration, it's never had a number on it.  25hp is max allowed per CG and I still like speed.

Tall order barn find.

You know it!!  But, pieces are coming together quicker than I expected.  Made a 520-mile round trip yesterday to OR coast and brought home a mid 50's Tee Nee boat trailer.  Bucket list item for project.     Don't know how to pin down exact year as no records are available.  Go by pictures of old advertisements to guess.  He had steering parts for boat I should have haggled on, but tools were limited.  Sounds like we may work it out anyway.  Trailer in is amazing shape for 70 years old.  Shot a little WD40 on threads and a few hours later loosen with wrench and finish with fingers. When does that happen? 1963 CA license plate cleaned up like new.  Last renewal mid 90's.  Got a few hits on motors too.  I do have to figure out the lost title angle on the trailer.

Week ago, went to WSP for an 'ownership in question' trailer inspection with bill of sale, certified form from DOL, and the CA plate.  CA plate turned out to be the key.  Vin# didn't provide any help identifying but will remain as original vin. CA plate showed last registered in 2002, not stolen, and was titled as a 1956 Tee Nee boat trailer.  That was a bonus.  Took that paperwork to the Auditors office to complete all necessary paperwork and licensing.  Came out a little poorer.  No collector plates available for boat trailers, so got a plate with a yellow intermittent use sticker.  One time purchase as long as I own it.  With inspection and all associated fees was almost as much as I paid for boat/trailer combined and still have to wait three years for a title.  I'll be picking up a 1958 Mark 58 Super Thunderbolt in next couple of weeks.  Might be a little overkill.  Still looking for any on my original list.

Whoa! 3 years for a title! What's the reasoning on that? I made a utility trailer out of an old pop up tent and had to re title it... Took a few weeks...

WA DOL rule.  CA plate/title, OR bill of sale.  No available title on an existing titled trailer.  In case someone(dead) contests it?  Most of all to make money.  1963 plate, 24 years since last licensed and the back story, I was comfortable to proceed with restoration.  You have to buy a Tee Nee where you find it.  Licensed and registered for the road now.  $200 trailer purchase, $377.40 for the inspection/paperwork.  Bought a canoe several years ago on a WA bill of sale, register it wait 3yr, but didn't bother with getting title after 3 years.   Required registration # to use it in WY.  Sold it and OR buyer didn't even want bill of sale.  Every state is different.  TX requires title on an outboard motor.

Gotcha... After I saw what they did to inspect that trailer I rebuilt out of the pop up... I built another trailer out of a mobile home frame with different axles... Just swapped a plate from a black car trailer that had the same description... Till I sold it without a tag or title... They dealt with that I guess...
