My New Boat Should Be Ready For Delivery Soon
« on: March 04, 2026, 09:34:18 AM »
I bought a 2026 Thunder Jet 209 Rush OT from Bjornson Marine in Kent. Clint the owner is a great guy to deal with. I feel very blessed to be able to purchase something like this. I am not one that spends big money easy. My wife made it very clear I was being annoying and to just buy the boat already. That be said...when she finally saw it at the dealer she was like "holy cow we bought that?" She was think maybe something a bit smaller but she knew the dollar amount. Lol

jealous for sure, wanting a boat so bad for when I retire soon.  I'd want one more upgrade, a steering wheel console!  Beauty!  You are gonna love that auto pilot!

We bought it now for 2 reasons. My sons aren't getting any younger and will be starting their own lives in the next 5 or so years and we wanted it payed off before retirement.

Console was a big consideration but my grand plan is to wrap it and hunt ducks out of it also. The Console takes up valuable real estate in that situation. The Thunder jet center Console is quite large.

Looks great.  I've got a little 12' aluminum boat that I use on local lakes with my kids. I'm hoping to purchase a garmin echomap 93SV with a GT-56 transducer for it.  I really want to be able to see what's underwater =)

Got the word today she's ready to go. I'll be picking it up tomorrow and doing some break in time on Saturday. Can't wait.

TJ makes a very nice boat.  I think too nice to take duck hunting though.  Feel free to let me know when you are slaying some big kings so I know where to go.
