"Hellebear" - bear feeding in false hellebore
«
on:
July 05, 2009, 02:24:21 PM »
Got up at 3:45 this morning so I could be in a prime bear spot right at daylight. After a short wait, this bear showed up and started munching on false hellebore plants. Because the sun hadn't yet risen over the horizon, the light was marginal, and only 1 out of the 80 or so shots turned out sharp (the second one). I need a better lens!

Pretty sweet pictures. I'd say they turned out well considering the low light.

Very nice! That kind of black should be called a different name. Awesome pics.

Great pictures Timber, looks like you put some miles on up there between these and the goat pictures.

What a great job anticipating the bear! That vegetation makes for some really nice compositions.
What lens are you using?

Cool looking brotha bear. His face is really dark. Looks like he is a wolf in a bear suit.
It is cool you can see the leaves that he was chewing on. Very nice pictures. Was he looking at you or just looking around?
