yep, we already saw some of their investigating. And like you Michael, any wolves jump my broncs, the investigators will have a blood trail they can follow, all 2 ft of it.

Wolves killed a colt in a small pasture on the San Poil about 2 miles south of Republic last winter.

Wasn't it Republic where the deer are all trying to move into town  little while back?

That is bad about that horse in republic, it's probably just a matter of time until there is another kill. Many times, once an animal gets started on domestic livestock, they eventually find more.

Nothing REALLY confirmed but i've heard of 3 wolf sightings in the last week in the the Manastash area...

When livestock, humans, or personal property are killed or endangered by wildlife you need to call the WDFW immediately and report it.

Every now and then when I am available I help with cougar complaints. There have been times that the Dept recieved a call, they contacted an enforcement agent, he contacted me, and  I have been on location in less than 2 hours from the time an animal was attacked and it was called in.

But if the people wait and think about it until the next day the odds are greatly reduced of catching the culprit animal. It is important to report things as soon as possible so the evidence can be analyzed and proper action taken.

Once the herds of wild animals thin out and pasture grass burners.  The humane society might relocate some to zoo's.  Don't they look a lot like yotes?

Thats the one good thing about wolves moving in Grant CO Oregon... they'll hopefully take down the wild horse herd here as they're really hammering the ecosystem here and the agencies can't do anything about it... wild horse facilities are way overstocked, the horse market is down, you can't slaughter them, its WAY illegal to shoot them...  etc

Of all the success stories in wildlife management over the past few decades, wolves was one we did not need.

IF those in charge don't give us a management plan we can live with, such as delisting and hunting these wolves to control the population, then yes, there will be plenty of the sss going on. I don't think Washington can handle the delist/relist games that the other states have had to go through and are still going through. I think most of us have learned from the other states that these wolves will ruin hunting in Washington and cause financial problems for many people. Why go through this same scenario? At this time it has been stated that perhaps Washington has more wolves than Montana. We need an accurate count of the amount of wolves that we have now. It would appear that we cannot go on what the WDFL biologists' wolf count is.

The deer have been in town for years.  As soon as the tribe and other hunters start cruising the hills the deer head towards town and farmers fields.  The same goes when the snow hits hard.  I watched a 26" 4x5 mulie buck walk through the parking lot of the fire station last late archery season.  It is funny to see the out of towners try to figure a way to shoot one of those bucks wandering town during season.
