Very true there are many sidelock rifles that are legal. I would think all of the side locks are legal.

I have seen some truly incredible side lock rifles, and many are accurate out to 100 yards.

Yep, it's kinda cool if you're going to hunt what's supposed to be a "traditional" muzzleloader season, to use a gun that fits the traditional definition. Nothing against inlines but I really like my Lyman Deerstalker.

I took a Bear this last Friday with one of my .504 Cal's shooting a 510gr conical over 80gr T7fffg dropped in his tracks at 75 yards.
