No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.

Well...... I had a great time.  Nerves played a big part, I think, since this was my first national shoot.  I was in about 8th place after the first day, and I shot that by cleaning the "harder" course.  The next day on the "easy" course I had my lunch handed to me in a nicely wrapped gift.  I shot average that day while the rest shot great.  I ended up in 93rd place in my class (bottom 50%), so now I've got something to shoot for next year.

The area was pretty cool; the shoot was at a ski hill in NY.  The town bent over backwards accomodationg the flood of people spending money there.  The people were fun to be around (except for the hangovers the following days); I had expected a ton of stuck up target pokers, but they were all hunters.  There were a few people there that I knew from the NW, and I met a bunch of cool people from the east coast.  I learned more about target archery in the week I was there than I could imagine.  I think there were around 2500 shooters from 20 or 25 countries and every US state.  I'm hoping that they have it there again next year, because I want to take my family back there with me.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!
