Small cook pot to heat no more than 10oz of water.
« on: August 12, 2009, 12:32:47 PM »
The pack stove thread got me looking at what I have..

Ok, I want something like the 8cm, WITH A LID that snaps on. (the 8cm is 13oz.)

A lid on your cook pot cuts fuel burn time down considerably. Alcohol or butane.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Jack, like this? I use a titan kettle, titanium, .85liter....enough for one guy....can carry all your other stuff...  A great place for titanium is Backcountrygear.com ...check out their lightweight zone...great site, I have purchased from them many times...

I use a  Snow Peak titanium mug w/ lid.  You can put the pocket rocket inside of it along with other stuff.

I have the Titan Kettle from MSR. It works great for heating water, but I hate that you can't grab the handles when your water boils. I'm looking for something with a coated handle to replace it currently.

The Titan Kettle is bigger than what I'm looking for. The Titanium Mug is more what I'm looking for but I figure the handles get hot too. And more than $30 for a mug/pot is a bit of a stretch. Polished Aluminum with a lid would be fine.

I currently use a 1945 GI canteen pot. It's fine I guess. Light enough. I just wish it was a little smaller with a lid.

OK, that's a selling point for the Titanium I guess. I like the skin on muh fingers.
