Hunting hard!!!!!!!!!!
« on: August 15, 2009, 12:27:48 AM »
Well, where do I start :dunno:  I hunted Mon, Tue and Wed.  I was in a group of five.  We had perfect conditions as far as I was concerned.  I kept saying I am in haven, because fishing in the morning and hunting in the evening means heaven to me. After a brutal six weeks working nonstop it was well appreciated.  However, I was still looking to kill my first Bear.  We had five hunters in our camp, I will not name any names since I did not ask to post their story.
OK:
First day, all of us hunted hard but did not see anything.  I had a blast because I fished in the morning and hunted in the afternoon and evening.  Second day, I took a father & son to go fish with me and we catched fish all morning until we decided to leave.
On our way back I had to stop for gas and mentioned that we better buy lunch since our guide was at a doctors appointment.  After we bought lunch the gentleman traveling with me hit a $1000 lottery scratch ticket.  Non-less to say I was pumped and exited for him.. I told him you will kill a Bear tonight and than we will have to go to the Casino. Well, he did not kill the Bear but his 11 year old Son did, what a story, the father in tears and the boy proud as he can be.  We ended up taking 2 Bear out of five hunters. With the 11 year old boy taking a beautiful bruin and a another gentleman taking another beautiful Cinnamon colored bear.  All I can say is, I was in Heaven even though I did not tagged my Bear, I had one of the best time in my life.  Once again I have to say it is only to the credit of Joe & Jodi of Sherman Creek Outfitters.  It is worth and it is a pleasure every time, it is a privilege to hunt with a guy that experienced and passioned for the big game.   I did not tagged a bear but I will hunt again with Joe because I can see his dedication and appreciation for the big game in fair chase hunting!   I hope I can share some pictures soon.
