Broadhead alignment?

I've been shooting my bh's for a while now, have noticed that some of them line up differently than others.  I shoot Magnus Stinger 4 blade and have 3 Blazer vanes on my arrow.  When I nock an arrow, sometimes they are lined up so they are flat horizontally, while other are almost vertical.  Does this really matter, and if so, how would I fix this?

I dont think broadhead alignment is recommended by anyone and does not affect or effect flight..

it doesnt matter if they line up for flight, but i try and get mine close so that they fit in teh quiver easier.

It probably makes no difference with regard to flight, but I prefer all my broadheads to be vertical. If the inserts were seated with hot glue, which is common, it's an easy fix to realign the broadhead any way you want them. Just boil some water and then put the tip of arrow into the water for about 30 seconds or so. That will soften the glue holding the insert. You can then screw-in the broadhead and turn it until you get the alignment you prefer.

I trued them up a few years back and never could tell a difference.. I quit obsessing.

I prefer vertical alignment but have found no reason from an accuracy standpoint to do so. It's just a personal deal.

I used to never tune my broad heads when I shot aluminum arrows but once I started shooting carbon I've either used those rubber gaskets or I have the shop tune them in
the correct direction. I have noticed that when tuned they fly more consistent.my

I have noticed a huge difference when you don't tune your broadheads, they won't fly nearly as consistent. This is something a lot of people don't do, but in my opinion is necessary.

when you tune them you are only looking for if they spin true without wobbles, blade alignment doesn matter as long as they spin straight.

Right! broadhead tuneing is a MUST! alignment is not important.

 I think what happens is that during the act of alligning your broad heads when gluing you inserts, is that your broadheads and inserts tend to be trued up better than if you were just to press the insert in. 
I do know that when I build specific arrows for broadheads in this manner that more of them are acceptable vs the ones I have just slammed together for field points, and then put a broad head on.

I think that broadhead alignment was more of an issue back when we all shot longbows or recurves, We used large 2 bladed broadheads that were not dynamically friendly and tended to plane, we set them either vertically or horizontally.

aligning them is more of an O.C.D. thing. That being said. There is nothing wrong with it
