boneaddict, I'm with ya when it comes to moose hunting. I have the fever too!

As you may recall, I shot a 45" moose in Idaho in '05.

Last year, a friend of mine drew a tag. I went along with him and he got a 51" moose on the second day.

Now this year a different friend of mine drew for the same area! So I plan on going with him. We hope to find this moose that my friend and I spotted last year while scouting. I'm pretty sure no one got him.

Oh by the way, that bull your dad idabooner got is one BIG BULL!

Sweet pics...  I need to go Moose hunting.  If only there weren't ten thousand applicants here in Washington. :bash:

I did recall, thanks for getting the pics on here.  Thats a very nice bull.  Good luck with your friend this year.  I'm sure I will be over there with camera in hand, and the birchbark in the other, even if no one draws.  Moose hunting is the most incredible thing ever.  Does you r buddies have a forked brow on that one side, or did he get nailed on that.  It doesn't really matter, still a very impressive bull.  I can remember that velvet picture.  That bull is tremendous.

jtim thanks for the compliment, your moose is very nice also, I like that antler conformation better than the wide flat ones. The velvet moose is a whopper, check the rear end on that guy, he looks like he could be from north of the Yukon.

It's only got the one forked brow. He knew that when he when he shot it though. Like you said, it doesn't really matter. Overall it is a very impressive bull and one that would be hard to turn down. I don't think he has gotten it officially scored yet, but by our calculations with just the one forked brow it will net under 140.

Here are some we called in after I shot my bull.

This picture was taken at 6 yards.

Nice moose pic's everyone. Keep them coming. I'm hoping for a hit on the moose permit this year. I have 12 points for moose, sheep, and goats for this state. I suppose that alot of other people do too, so that just cancels out the better odds. I'll be putting in for a Wyoming moose permit next year with 7 points there. I'm close to getting drawn there with that many preference points.
