No pick, but how cheap it dirt cheap? Bolt, lever, single shot? What is the name of the peep sight?

I am going to guess a sporterized American made Mauser with the fire bomb stamp, Springfield.

Anyone else with a guess?

I'll take a sporterized British made .303 Enfield rechambered for .30-06
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Be careful.  If it's a 03 springfield it may not be safe to shoot.  I just went thru this.  I had found a nice sporterized barreled action for $75.00.  It WASN'T the 1903 A3.  If it's the standard 03 with a serial number lower than 800000 the action is brittle.  Not soft, brittle.  They can't even safely be heat treated.  And they can blow up.
