A couple Kings from the Cow
« on: September 04, 2009, 04:36:42 PM »
Jeremiah talked me into braving it today and taking the boat south to the Cow. Got on the river well before light, and by 11am we were rewarded with a couple fish. Mine is just a crappy cell phone pic, and it barely made adult status and probably went 6-7lbs. Jeremiah's was definitely an adult and it weighed out at 19.6 after it was bled and gutted. Both fish caught on bait.

Nice fish. I know the spot and seen that other boat on I-5 this afternoon. Now I know where they were fishing.  :chuckle:

I just got my boat back and can't wait to get out on the river. :whoo: :whoo: :whoo: :party1: :party1:

Did you guys see any silvers caught?

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?

Where'd you launch at Brent?  Camelot?

I don't think that spot is a secret, but we didn't see them catch any fish I don't think.  Plenty of other fish caught though :)

Yep, Camelot, and it was crazy there today.

Backbouncing. Neither one of us had done it before, so I would say it was a successful first attempt.

Here's a few more from today, only fished until 11. Not bad for a short day, the guy I was with also got one. No camera on the boat so had to wait until I got home to take the pics.

Right on J
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!
