I shot 4 blues today, one young bird and the other 3 were adults. All four of the fans were crappy. I head shot the birds so I know I didn't ruin the fan with shot. I must have seen over 20 birds today, they were sure out in the rainy crap today.

i made it out for the first time sunday...weather didn't look that bad, so off into the woods i went.  made it about 300 yards and the sky opened up on me, and of course i had left my rain jacket at home.  hiked a mile or so up an old grade(all uphill) before things got too miserable and i turned around.  only critters i saw were a robin and a big wood frog, lots of deer sign though.

i'll be back out there by this weekend, maybe trying a different road, i'm due.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun
