i finally got my first buck with a bow
«

September 07, 2009, 10:34:43 AM »
This is my forth year hunting with a bow and have harvested a doe every season. This year it finally paid off i got my first buck. He was no where near a monster but it works for me. A velvet spike. spikes are about 6 in. shot was 40 yards. he ran 140 yards then dropped. was a good day after getting soaked from the morning rain

There is a thread somewhere on here about how to prep the animals for field photos. Clearly you didnt read it. Step 3 was to make sure to wipe the milk of the deers lips!
lol just kidding! Way to go on your first buck! He gonna taste grrrrrreeeeaaaaattt!

Congrats ...
Any Capitol buck with a bow is a feat...the bucks round here are vampires and only come out at night
I've lived next to this forest for going on 4 years and have seen a grand total of maybe 4 bucks I see lots of does, lots of big does, I never see bucks.
