Tiger Trout!
« on: September 13, 2009, 10:05:31 PM »
Tiger Trout that is! Apparently WDFW is planting these little rascals heavily. They're a sterile hybrid, and absolutely aggressive towards a dry fly!

These things made me and my son feel like pro-fishermen. They just kept slamming the flies!

Awesome!  One of my favorite looking fish, was going to try to go after them this past summer, but ran out of time!  Maybe next year!
I would rather be a conservative nut job, than a liberal with no nuts, and no job!

Beautiful fish

We found them while fishing Beehive, above Wenatchee (what a mess, they've let the cattle into the water... Yuck!) but I've heard they have been planted in quite a few lakes out in the basin. Don't have specifics to guide you though - these are the first we've caught.

They are NUTS for dry flies...  :IBCOOL:

The state has been stocking TT for over 20 years. I've got property on Lake Tanwax down near Eatonville. They started stocking them in Tanwax back in the late '80s.
