With the different options to choose from, what would you choose to buy as your license/tag and why?

I didn't vote because I use all three. It depends on which hunts are offered in a particular year or which weapon choice gives me a good chance at a premium draw. I think it pays to be flexible.

I have hunted strictly archery for many, many years and went modern this year.  Never again!  You folks can have that rifle hunting!  I did it with a shotgun and got an ok whitie buck but got fed up with the slob hunters that I ran into everywhere.  I'm not saying that all rifle hunters are slobs (at least not the ones on this site  ;)) but there sure are a lot more of them than during archery, IMO.

I only hunt archery, to me it is a rush getting as close to the animal as you can before you stick it, plus modern firearm hunting is way too overcrowded.

Yep, that rush is why I prefer bowhunting as well.  That is why I chose to hunt with a 12 gauge side by side for my last modern season.  It made me stick to my bowhunting ways of getting up-close and personal.  It was not the same rush as with a bow but more than it would have been with a rifle.  I like the longer and later bowhunting seasons and the fact that in the past 10+ years I have yet to run into another hunter in the woods (away from the roads) during late archery.  It is really nice to be alone and hunt semi-calm deer.

I started with Muzz. last year and ate a tag sandwich deer and elk.  This year I went Mod fire, was pretty lame, between the poachers taking does instead of bucks and all the overcrowding, I had a hard time with this season.  Tag sandwich again this year

I voted Muzz.  and Im going back to it next year, despite all the regs. i.e scopeless, exposed primer. Then bennifits outweigh the drawbacks

With so many deer I don't think the length of the season really matters.  The great thing about m. firearm is you can use any method - m. firearm, muzz, or archery.

Only probelm with the muzz is the areas I have hunted for years are not open.

The length of the season makes a huge difference Palmer, when you are given a 8 day window you are forcing thousands of hunters into the same areas over a shorter period of time. Its no wonder we dont have more accidents than we do.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

You're right about the safety issue.  I've been spoiled with some private property and some public where I don't see many hunters.  Also I do much of my hunting on the weekdays.  I hunt whitetail mostly and notice the season is extremely short for Mule Deer.
