Gee, and you also see more spruce in colder climates and alpine areas.

funny how that works...

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Blacktail on roids.  I know you shared the same sentiment I had about him hanging on the side of a garage.

Hmmmm............... 257s 145 buck sure looks like a friends buck. I could be wrong but the house, garage, truck and buck all look real familiar. So in order to dispell rumors, his taxidermist green scored it at 147. Friend is a Morton boy, but the buck is from King county. I don't think I will be giving away his secret spot by sharing that it was killed with a Green River A tag.

257 didn't mean it the way it sounded, I guess.  No you never said it was yours, I realized that. I meant more that I will not say with 100% certainty that I am right, but more like 99%certainty I know this buck and its story.  Just was a little funny to see the post with the speculation/secret spot talk where it was killed.

Anyone can put in for the tag. Supposed to be a lot of great bucks in that unit. My firends partner supposedly killed a real nice three point. I never saw any pictures of it. Another friend worked in there for  a while a couple years back and saw a lot of big bucks too.

That post when I said "Dmans secret spot" thats what I meant. He's been trying to draw that tag for a while, so have I and my wife, and my pards. I guess his buddy killed a 21'' 3 point.

True that. My pops used to work back in there for Burlington Northern, lot's of nice critters, I was in there once myself for my job and also saw a good deal of sign and likely areas. I did see in tribal harvest reports the tribe's do hunt that area pretty hard also -big surprise. Lot's of bears in there also, but I have no idea if they allow any hunting for them.
