who shot an animal with the sst?

i shot my deer with one and so did my buddy both complete pass. did anybody recover one of these beasts if so how did it do

Yelp did, and as I recall he retrieved the bullet and it retained it mass quite well.  Yelp.........where you at....

sorry - I used the Barnes Expander MZ in my 54 and I recovered 1 of 4 and it retained 100% of its mass and beautiful mushroom shape.

I posted the pics of the bullet expansion on this thread.  I didn't dig for the other two bullets as they were buried in the guts.  The last one was in the neck and I wasn't able to find it.

Great performance held up well. I have slug from deer I shot. mushroomed well.
Wild Turkey, Walleyes, Whitetails and Wapiti..These are a few of my favorite things!!

Dropped two deer this year with 250 grain sst out of a 20 ga.  both pass throughs, one dropped in tracks the other ran 50 yards double lung and shoulder blade.  Both were about 15 yards though....  They are the most accurate of the sabots I have tried with the wife's gun.

[edit] Oops, just realized this was on the ML side.  Still nice bullets.  I might try them iun my .50 cal next year.
