Vancouver Duck Hunting
« on: October 04, 2009, 08:36:54 PM »
Looking for a partner for opening morning in the Vancouver area, I know the Shilapoo unit really well, but if you have another area, I have a boat, no dog (unless you want me to bring my pug :P), 2 dozen decoy's and I'm a decent caller.  I also am pretty effective at building blinds, and enjoy getting up way earlier then necessary so we can guarentee a spot :)  Send me a PM or reply here if you wouldn't mind a hunting partner on opening day!

PS:  Both my partners are out of town...One is going to fly down to Florida for the Florida Alabama game...(soooo lucky), the other is working 60 hours a week.

Try getting a blind at Ridgefield or by an Oregon license and get in the line at Sauvies Public hunt and hunt the racetrack or Mud Hen.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I wasn't looking for places to hunt :)  But thanks!  I know the Vancouver area pretty well.

If you have a boat hit the Cathlamet Skomakawa area.  You probably will get into the Canvasbacks early season and possibly Blue wing or Cinnamon Teal.

I might be interested.  It's past the opener, but there's lots of season left.  I'm from Vancouver but now live in Tacoma.  I've been looking to get down there and hunt this year though, since I know it very well also, having hunted it all my life.  I have a layout boat of sorts,  I'm an excellent caller (been doing it since I was 7), have dozens of dekes, and I've shot many hundreds of birds.  What I don't have however, is a motorized boat or dog.  Drop me a line if you would like to hook up for a hunt this year.  I hunt from the Vancouver area to Ledbetter and everywhere in between.

Good luck tomorrow T.

Hey...let's try to get together this year. I'm 100% and always looking to go when I can.

Send me a PM if that's something we could work out.

Shoot straight!
