damn it...
tried to reply to this like 3 days ago and it didnt take for some reason
any way
I love to talk hunting and Rosi's especially and I saw this elk in person the day after BTKR killed it. Let me tell ya...the pics look good but dont do the mass on that fat *censored* any justice!
I hate to say it because everyone knows I dont like BTKR but damn that was a pig!
and it carries the mass all the way out to the tips so it gives the illusion that its not that thick but it is!
I was very proud of the mass on my 2007 rosy...and its mounted on a 28 inch form... but putting this bull beside my form made it look like a damn black tail!
its a nice bull with great mass and great color to the horns...
the nose was interesting as well... it had an odd...not elk like hump in the nose. Reminded me of a moose snout... very big..very unique with tons of sign that he liked to mix it up with other big boys!
nice elk willie...it will look great in the back of ur shed under a tarp next to ur old auto trader magazines!

LOL. Thanks Dave.
Actually it will probably go IN the tin shed, not under the tarp. As for the mags...they are old hunting rags back to 1995. Just got rid of most of them..except the old F&H News..you guys remember the quad fold newpaper version? You never know when an old spot becomes good again.

Very Nice Bull. I measured the bases at 11 or 11 1/2 inches. I got pictures of the skull after it was cleaned. Nose was busted pretty good. I will post pic's of them later.

So was the bone gone or did it fall out? I know he had to have been gored pretty good to knock out that whistler and mess up his kisser.

Was it born that way or did someone shoot it in the jaw at one time

I think he took a tine to the mouth. A bullet would have done a lot more damage. The scar was on the left side of the face but there was nothing indicating and exit wound.
The left nostril was collapsed.

Ha ha, it did look like a moose nose. I will take more pic's of the skull after it was clean.
A section of the bone was gone BTKR. The other bone had been broken.

I have seen 3 elk like that, they all came out of the Bear River GMU, I think they were all born with the defect just like people, cleft palate, AKA hairlip.
