Well iam thinking of getting by wife and i new bows, she is really wanting the new mathews passion and iam looking at getting the reezen. My question is are mathews bows really worth the price to spend on them or not?

Well just as everything else you get what you pay for.  Not to say Mathews is number one they are a very strong reliable bow with a great warranty.  Cant speak on the Passion lne as I am not familiar wit hit.  Reezen is a good bow.

I own a Mathews (older one and not the Reezen) and love it.  Having said that, I would pick up a number of bows and shoot them and figure out whatever is best for you.  If you can afford it, buy the one you can shoot the best - you owe it to yourself (reducing the number of hours of frustration trying to figure out why the #(*#( you're not shooting well when you were JUST shooting the best you ever shot the week before) and the animals you hunt (reducing the chance of a bad hit because of crappy equipment.)  Whatever you feel most comfortable shooting is worth the price...

I'd at least try out Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech and there are a number of other good bows (PSE, etc.) that might work best for you that you can try if you have the time to try them all and access to them.

Depending on how much your wife shoots, you might look at Mission bows. Just about identical to the mathews just missing a few bells and whistles. I personally love my mathews I have now, worth the money in my eyes, but grew up with hoyt and wouldn't hesitate about switching back.

I picked up the Mathews Reezen 6.5 this season and after getting used to it have really enjoyed shooting it.  Fast and very accurate for the speed it's pushing.
Cut em!

Thats great you are getting your wife a bow....yes Mathews are good bows.
as for you getting a new bow to I would wait and see what 2010 bows are....PSE has 7 new bows for 2010 and I know of 3 new Hoyt bows and 1 of them being Hoyts fastest bow ever, and Bowtech will have a few new bows to and I think they have a FAST bow coming.

Here are the Mathews ladies on the Passion.

Do you know what the brace height is supposed to be?  I love the fact that it will be a little longer ATA...that's awesome.

I will probably be in the market for a new bow next year (was going to pull the trigger this year but ended up with Swarovskis instead.  One expensive thing at a time...)
