Don't take this personally, but I really wish you hadn't posted this. This topic bring's more "experts" out of the woodwork every year who tell everyone else how dumb they are and how much more they know about it just by being in the woods in their little knothole. The "peak" can vary by area and depending on the weather, but as Skyval said it seems to peak in November.

Dman's correct, somewhere around mid-Nov in my experience but I've definitely seen bucks with swollen necks in Oct. I talked to a Game Warden in MT once (about white tails) and he told me that he thought the peak was Nov. 11. Probably weather related and maybe day length.
The rut for westside blacktails is prettywell documented to happen between October 25 and November 10.
I asked a WDFW biologist about the timing of the rut in an email last year, and this was his response:QuoteThe rut for westside blacktails is prettywell documented to happen between October 25 and November 10.
