Orcas Island Archery??
« on: October 20, 2009, 08:51:08 AM »
Howdy-

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for archery hunting Orcas Island?? The property that I had been hunting was just sold by the owner. He had 160 acres which was full of deer. He is going to try to contact the new owner and get permission for my brother and I. I was wondering about other areas in case that falls through. I drew a second tag out there and the hunting spot fell through. Bad timing!!!!!!!!!Thanks!

Really bad timing,
what I would do is drive around and get addresses of the places you want to hunt (next year) and write down their address. Go home and send them all Christmas cards with a little note introducing yourself.
Offer to visit during off season and help with property maintenance or something so they can meet you and see that you are a responsible person and "maybe" give you permission to hunt their property.

P.S. If you see any Turkeys get permission before spring ! ! ! ASAP
