09 Montana.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Here is my buddy Tom's AHL buck Picture from our Montana hunt this year.  Sorry it's blurry, I must have still been shivering from laying for 15 minutes in the frost waiting for him to shoot... :chuckle:

This is my wifes whitetail from three  years ago in Montana. He is basically right where he layed. All Gail did was straddle him where he layed and had the picture taken. We had this buck come in and he kind of had us pegged. He came in facing us and for the life of me I couldn't get him to turn broadside. My wife shoots a .270 WBY mag and is VERY proficient in the use of said rifle. I ranged the buck at 136 yds with my Leica rangefinder. She had the buck in her scope and had a good rest. I asked if she was comfortable with the shot and she answered yes. I then asked her if she had a good site picture of his white throat patch. She adjusted and told me yes again. She had been holding on the bucks chest. I then told her that if she was good with the throat patch shot to go ahead and take him. Well, tat was all she needed to hear. The .270 Wby barked and the buck just crumpled. It was as if if someone had cut his legs out from under him. When we got to the buck we examined him and found that her shot had hit home PERFECTLY!! If you look real close in the picture you can see the entrance wound in the smack dab middle of the bucks neck (front view). This buck was DEAD before he ever hit the ground.
I am so thankful to be married to the most wonderful woman in the world. She hunts and fishes with me and has raised our three grow children to be outstanding young adults. I came REAL close to losing this angel of a wife four years ago to cancer.
Look real close and you can see te entrance wound. Man, can she ever shoot that WBY!!

He drew a late tag this year after 3 years of putting in. I would love to kill a deer like that for my first deer!
