 Okay this thread is for all those that get on here looking for info on where to go and where they should apply.

ITS TIME!!!!!!

 Get off the damn sofa, turn off the TV and get out there and scout. Just because your hunt is over doesn't mean you can't be out there locating where the animals are. Right now is when you are most likely to see deer. You should be out getting ideas on where to apply for the late tags, where to go for the general season next year etc. Grab a camera, grab a daypack and get out there and look.

 There should be no reason to have a post asking where you should go for your Entiat late tag, go look now while the deer are out there and you will know where to go when you draw. There is no time like the present, lets be pro active rather than reactive, it will save a lot of this

That sounds like a great idea. I will let the boss know you told me it was OK to leave work today. A lot of us, I am sure, live vicariously through this site. For the times we cannot get out due to work, family and other obligations. I get very little time to hunt, and don't really use this to find a place to go, but to see what is going on throughout the state. So keep busy and give me something to read on the web. LOL

Hey I have seen some of the biggest bucks in this state at a dump.  Too bad its a reserve.

I am pretty new to this site and to this state.  I am in the military, stationed on Whidbey island.  I found this site when I first got out here and thought it was great because of helpful the members are.  I asked for tips on where I could hunt on the island, not because I was lazy and didn't want to do the grunt work, but because i had absolutely no idea where to start. I got some good tips, got off the couch, did some scouting and found a good place with a couple of nice bucks (I put pics up on the trail cam forum "whidbey island bt's").  So my question is, "Is it not OK to ask for help or tips on this site or is this directed at just a certain type of hunter?  Was I in the wrong asking for help?"

 Absolutely patton1!!!  Everybody loves to help out, the point is there are people that apply for permits every year that have never been in the areas they apply for. Instead they wait until they find out they have drawn and then rely on everyone else to tell them where to go.

 The point of the thread was that right now is the perfect time to hit those units you apply for or want to hunt, before you find out you draw, so you will know where the animals are at in those units and you're not walking around blind and relying on others.

I think the answer is that it is OK to ask.  However, some hunters (well, that term is probably an overstatement) are obviously lazy and want to be spoon fed.  I know several.  Sooner or later that becomes obvious, and they should not expect to be helped.

Someone such as yourself: in the military, not lazy, etc.: that becomes obvious also, and there's not a soul here (better not be) who wouldn't help someone like that.
