I think it is rediculous that people get mad that new guys ask questions. What is the point of this forum? I really like this site and am starting to not like alot of the posters on here. Alot of people complaining and accusing others of doing wrong. On one post a guy even accused a guy of racism! Come on folks. If you don't want to meet new people and learn new things and places to go then just don't reply to those types of threads!! I for one have went hunting with 2 guys I meet from this site and had a good time. Went several times with let.it.fly and cannot wait to go scouting with him. I think that is what this forum is for is to connect hunters together and learn new tricks to filling the freezer!!

Just think about what I am saying here. Like Rodney King famously said" Can't we all just get along".

Yeah, right. We're supposed to guess which four units we'll apply for next year, and then go scout them all. Hoping to someday draw one. That makes lots of sense.

If you don't like to share info, that's your perogative, but I think you may be confusing laziness with common sense.

You're the type of person I'm talking about. You expect to sit home and surf the internet for the all the info you need before applying for a tag, then once drawn expect everyone else to tell you all about it.

If you apply for units next year that you have never scouted out, you have nobody else to blame when your plea for info comes up empty because you instead chose to surf rather than hike. :twocents:

I have no problem sharing info with those that have shown they are willing to do the due diligence it takes to get it done. If you think otherwise I'm sure there are a couple people on this site that will vouch for me about giving out info to help them on their hunts. :twocents:

That's kinda funny, since you've never met me, and have no idea how I operate. Asking for info on the internet is just one arrow in my quiver. And I have lot's of arrows. BTW, I've found that not all the info coming in from folks like yourself is particularly useful. In fact I'd say most of it is about as useful at the "F&H News".  But you put the pieces together and the picture starts to come into focus. And yeah, I burn my share of diesel and boot leather too.

I think some folks just like to play the victim. "Poor me. I have all this information, and these undeserving/dumb/lazy people just want me to give it to them for free" "Maybe they should pay to gas up my truck". "I'm the only person that deserves to draw this unit, because I already scouted it".

I have no problem with anyone that chooses to hold back info. Just seems a little ridiculous to post on a forum, where people come to share information, and bellyache about people looking for information.

Good huntin.

Just for the record...if I ever do draw a tag for a premium unit and learn the unit, I'd be more then happy to pass that info on to any future tag holder, couch potato or not....no reason not to in my book, I'll probably never draw that tag again and I like to see people be successful and love helping good people out.  Just cuz someone is "lazy" and posts a question about a unit doesn't mean they are a bad person, in my book at least.
