late buck hunt
« on: November 22, 2009, 11:17:01 AM »
well, after four days of wind, rain, snow and hail, I connected on an alright 3x3. I was really looking for a heavy chocolate horned 4pt. I passed on quite a few bucks. I seen this guy with a doe and beings I was no where near my truck, I decided to tag him. I shot him at 9:45am and got back to the truck at 4:30. Coming off the ridge was a little brutal and I don't have much energy to write a long story.
It was a great week! No sooner did I get back to camp and I had a voice mail from the IBEW local 970. They needed me to come sign the books because a company had a request for a journeyman electrician! Start work on monday, almost laid off for one full year (thanksgiving weekend) :IBCOOL:
My wife is really happy that she doesn't have to foot the hunting bill any more :chuckle:

Definitely double congrats, though I would say that's a better than alright 3 point.  (Don't we all head out looking for a heavy chocolate horned 4pt?? ;))
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Way to go on the buck AND the job!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

thanks all, I didn't mean any disrespect to the buck....I drew the wind river late buck hunt that is known for the migrating big black tails, I have seen mammoth monsters from the area I was in. Don't get me wrong, I am happy with him.
