Heading To Montana
« on: November 24, 2009, 03:03:27 PM »
I've decided to use my Montana tag.  I have no idea where I'm going.  This should be interesting.  I'm leaning toward heading to Lewistown and maybe asking directions from there.

I'll post pics when I get back if I get anything.

If nothing else, it will be an adventure.

Good luck man!
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I stopped in Cabela's in Billings and got some maps.  Should be good to go.  I'm heading toward Broadus, MT.

Been a looooong drive.  Hope it is worth it.

300 Ultra mag shooter:
You might try driving twoard Jordan there were allot of deer on that stretch. Remember Montana has a great block management program.
Good luck :twocents:

Thanks for the info.

One of the guys who hunts MT a lot pointed me toward Broadus.  We'll see how it goes.  I'm not looking for a monster.  Just a respectible deer.

I'll keep you posted.

Best of luck to you finding a respectable deer. Right now with the rut going on it won't be hard especially where you are headed ... you'll do just fine I can't wait to see the pics!  :)
