I have no idea.  I don't have a rangfinder and I shoot instinctive.  If I had to guess would say about 60 yds.

If we get too many more threads like this, we are going to have to start a new board catagory called  :bs:
Why? I'm sure there isn't THAT much BS in this thread.

Just my opinion Antler, kind of like a 15lb fish that turns into a 30 pounder after a couple days or the 500 lb bear, 200" deer, and 400" elk on every mountain.
Keep your nose in the wind and your eyes on the skyline

1235 yard shot on a huge bull quartering toward me thru a salmon berry bush (but its ok cause the bull was right behind the bush), 1 shot, piled up right where he was at (never got out of his bed).
THEN.. I cut him in half and had to make 2 trips......up hill.....both directions....in a snow storm     :P

First deer I shot at 320 yards... 30-06 shooting Rem Cor-loks
First Cow elk: 548 yards, 30-06 with 165 grn sierra GameKings.
Colorado Muley shot in 2007 at 380 yards... 30-06 shooting same GameKings
Buddy shot a buck this year at 648 yards
Shot my elk this year at 348 yards. 180 grn Barns bullets.
Another guy I know shot his bull this year at 1020 yards, 338 Lepua with turrets.  One shot one kill right through the heart.

Shot 5 other big game animals at less than 250.  But if the conditions are right, I have NO problem with a good rest, no wind shooting out to 400 yards...  Gotten flamed for it before, not gonna change now.
