More good news!! Look at the size of that thing!!!

Do you know where on the St. Joe? I used to work that forest and back then there were wolf rumors, now they are all over. Found tracks myself south of Avery this year near the Northfork of the Clearwater.

A beautiful trophy and a testament to Idaho's ability to make the best of something that was shoved down their (and WY, and MT) throats 14 years ago.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Looks like an older animal to me.... :twocents:

Don't know exactly where it was taken, he just told me the St Joe. Probably in past Avery, that country is full of them, well not quite as full now... :chuckle:

Idaho is doing their best to get all 220, they have extended the season to reach the target. The people are feeling a little better now that wolves are finally being managed and some big city judge hasn't shut it down on them yet... :twocents:

Those Avery locals are pissed about the wolves. bet they're happy to see them get thinned out. I think a wolf hunt or 5 may be in my future.  :chuckle:

I worked there in the summer of 91. There were rumors back then and the college kids would go out howling at night to see if any answered, I don't think they ever heard any. One day we thought we saw one run in front of us in the fog but it could have been a cat.  :dunno: Whatever it was it was big.

Make a recording of the hounds. Set up a game call in the woods and when the wolves come in for dinner, feed them  :guns: :guns: :guns:

I was thinkin my backyard, and I think I know what your answer will be, but if wdfw can sneak wolves in alive illegaly we should be able to sneak some out dead, they will be well behaved wolves, won't make a sound.  ;)
