Anderson Custom Rods
« on: December 02, 2009, 07:02:29 PM »
Unfortunately in todays world it is getting increasingly harder and harder to find companies that stand behind their products and understand the true meaning of customer service. Whats even more rare is hearing about good customer service when and if it ever happens.

This past summer I was in the eastern part of the state camping and fishing with family and friends on the Columbia. In the middle of the one of the late nights  one of my buddies stumbled to his tent and accidentally knocked over one of my custom Sage baitcasters, by Gary Anderson, and then stepped on it snapping the top section right in half. As you can imagine I was none too happy but didn't let it ruin my trip.

When I got home I sent the rod down to Rogue River, OR. and gave Gary a call. He said he would take a look at it and let me know what he could do. Today I got home to a package on the porch and opened it up. They ordered a new top section from Sage, had it shipped to them, wrapped it exactly as the original and sent it back to me good as new. All this for $62.00.

Let me tell you guys, Nordstroms customer service has nothing on Anderson Custom Rods, a better experience I honestly couldn't imagine. If anyone reading this has ever wanted a custom rod built but worried about what would happen if you were ever to have an accident, contact these guys and order one.

There are loads of rod manufacturers and builders out there that offer similar products, the differences may be negligible. FWIW, www.andersoncustomrods.com/ has just elevated their already high opinion I had of them and insured a life long customer.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

I own over 20 custom biult rods. I have used TH Custom Rods on all them. Great customer service!!! One of the reasons I go with custom rods. I like the service I get from the small guy.

They have made fixes and replaced broken rods at no cost. I even recieved a free rod from them just because I have purchased so many rods and they were haveing a hard tme with a manufacture on a fly rod they were biulding for me. Because I was patient and understanding they sent me a free steelhead rod also.

Is the taste of the bait worth the sting of the hook twice?
