I have taken a ton of pics and posted them on here with my FZ18. I assume the 28 is the next generation. All of my field photos or pics I take in the season are with it. Its got about the best zoom and glass (lieca) out there for a point and shoot. You cannot get a different lens for the 18 and assume that for the 28, unless they have changed things. You'd need a DSLR. However, that point and shoot has more zoom than you can really get with a DSLR.

I think the fz28 has lenses that can be changed out on it. i saw one the other day from a distance. didn't look at details but thats what i was thinking.

Do you have the 28 Buckhorn or was looking at it. The 18 is just an older model of it. I think they are essentially the same.

those panny cameras are great for a lot of pics but will never compare to the pics these guys are taking with the DSLR's.
they have huge zoom so it's not a matter of getting closer...they just don't have the ability to take the kind of pics the DSLR's are taking. i had the fz18 till some puke stole it out of my truck. i wasn't happy with it entirely because i expected more out of it, which was my fault. i should have known what to expect.

THanks Buckhorn. I still take lots of pics with that Panny. They are great cameras. They fit in the pack where my other set up just won't.
