Cottontails, anybody? Where??
« on: December 29, 2009, 05:59:03 PM »
Where is anyone seeing rabbits?  :dunno:

Looking to relax a bit this winter between writing and waging war on anti-gunners in Olympia.

Looking for some cottontails primarily, but a snowshoe hare would be okay as well

I've also been looking for a place for cotton tails.  (It's frustrating because I see them every other day in my neighborhood.  Last week there were two sitting on my back lawn.)

I'm in Vancouver and have been trying the Shillapoo area near Vancouver Lake.  Even though it looks like prime rabbit habitat with islands of blackberry bushes strewn throughout the fields, so far nothing.

Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

I have pretty good luck on old logging roads.  Right at dawn or dusk.  I walk as fast as I can and they will spook out in front of me.  But they are almost completely nocturnal.  Go up in the snow and see where the tracks are.  I dont think they travel at all so once you find them they usually will always be there.

Hey Kain, would you be willing to share generally where these logging roads are?
