Wet COB..... without a doubt the Blacktails here are non-stop eating it.  Get it at the local Skagit Farmers supply in 50# bags.

Is that what it's called? Wet cob? Or are you saying corn? I put out corn and they left it alone.

I think COB stands for Corn, Oats, and Barley. I think! Could be wrong.

Apple Candy Block. Although I do put a few apples around it to start, when the apples are gone they keep coming back and seem to love it!!!

Yep, you are right. "Wet" c.o.b. has molasses mixed with it.   The blacktails around my place will not touch c.o.b., wet or dry.

Wet cob works great for me.  I had a lot of apples at my disposal this year but I used both.  Earlier in the fall they would eat the apples first, but later in December they started eating the wet cob first.   The wet cob is about $10 for a 50#  bag, so it can get a little expensive.

I have found they will eat both "meat goat" and "livestock" both from Dels, Livestock is about $10 bag, goat is $14 but the goat is higher in protien.  I use apples to get them to stick their head in the feeder but don't need to after a while.

Came home, righted the feeder (windy), set the bucket down next to it and by the time I came back to nail some roof boards back on there were five with their noses in the bucket.

That apple candy block looks good though.  I tried some apple flavored vitamin/mineral powder and they only seemed to eat it when it was mixxed with the pellets.

just plant some rose bushes.  The deer eat my sisters to the ground every year.  They especially love the blooms for some reason.   :dunno:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
