Always used victor when growing up, my little brother still uses them. That is the only brand he uses.

Belisle makes the best conibear trap on the market, but you will pay for 'em. Especially if you get your finger/hand/arm stuck in one!!

There nearly zero gaps between the jaws when closed so chances of misses and misses in general go way down. Other then Belisle, I would go with Bridger. I think they make conibeas. Tough trap. Whatever you do, don't buy Duke. Those "safety hooks" are not safe at all.

Last Belisle 330s I lookes at wer like 29.99 a piece.   I think mine are Victor Oneidas.  Its been awhile.  You only get got by them once.  OUCH!  Those things scare the *censored* out of me.

You haven't lived until you become a member of the "330 club".  It was mighty humbling to walk back to the house and get my boys to help remove the trap from my thumbs. That was several years ago, and I have regained all the feeling in my thumbs.   Now I use one of those safety clips and I don't even feel like a sissy.
