I didnt shoot it i was out coyote hunting/scouting for new duck hunting spots for next year. i saw a duck i couldnt identfy (this was my first year duck hunting) there was 5-6 ducks total a mallard and a hen and a wigeon (i think) with a hen wigeon the one i couldnt figure out was all white with a black head any ideas? couldnt get a pic they were all in the same group

i dont think so the entire body was white with just a black (or dark head)

any white at all on the head?  If so maybe a bufflehead

There are a lot of buffle heads swimming around.  Could be one.  A smaller bird, but appears mainly white from a distance.

I was going to ask size, and figured bufflehead or goldeneye.

looked about the same size as a mallard i looked at it through binoculars there was no white on the head
