for those not sure what a dump cake is heres a couple of examples.
for a large batch like 4 or more people.

2 cans apple pie filling on bottem, sprinkle a box(or less if you want)of white cake on top and a 12oz can of 7up or sprite.
for this one a smaller version--- 1 can pie filler 1 box jiffy white cake and almost a can of 7up or u can lay pats of butter around

2 cans cherry pie filler,1 box chocolate cake and a can of cherry coke or pepsi

i really like to see how good i can eat for very cheap,i use to wheel alot and when gas went way high my budget for food got way small,so i have spent some years learning to do this. simple, easy, cheap and not much clean up.
just cause you cook in a dutch oven doesnt mean you have to use charcol,i take only the ovens because i can cook anything in them and i can use them on anything-fire,charcol,propane and whatever else there is

We kinda do the same as Axle, except we fry onions and diced potatoes in one pan and in another pan we fry up either sausage links or breakfast sausage, when there both done we merge them to one pan, add eggs and scramble the mixture, after the eggs cook up we top it off with shredded cheese and serve,
this is what my family has called Campers Delight for years, if we have them available we will add sliced mushrooms to the sausage.

My dad makes what he calls "Columbia River Ribs" because he likes to cook them on the bank of the columbia during summertime. He made some up in curlew at deer camp this year and it was awesome.

Take your ribs and rub them down in garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, johnnys seasoning salt, sweet mesquite seasoning, and a pinch of brown sugar. Vacuum Seal the ribs so they fit nice in the cooler and the flavors get pressed in. Take them out of the bag at camp and grill them up over low heat.

LUNCH!

Damnit... I carry a stove in my day pack for the long cold days. I really like to heat up some soup for lunch and another for a late day snack before I get back to camp for dinner.

I remember a time that I took a nephew out for his 'first hunt with me'.. His dad was pretty much a road hunter then... Anyway, I hiked his arse off in the morning. Hike sit, Hike sit... The kid was exhausted by 11:00.  We find a good spot that's totally hidden to sit and watch where a few trails intersect. I break out the stove and heat up some Cup O Noodles for him. We were about 40 yards apart watching two different draws. I crawled over to him as he's munching on an energy bar and hand him the soup and a spork. His eyes got as big as silver dollars!

Well... Nothing extravagant.. But that warm soup hits the spot on a cold day out in the middle of nowhere!

EDIT:  He shot his first buck that day too!

When my boys were young (11 & 9 yo) I started taking them in on drop camps deer hunting. Just the three of us. The first night in camp it was ALWAYS "Weenie Stew" for supper. It consisted of two large cans of nalleys beef stew with a package of quality weiners dumped into the pot. Let it simmer and get good and hot so that the weiners plump up and split. Then it was time to dish up and dig in with fresh french bread smothered with real butter. To this day it is the first supper for the family when ever we go on camping trips. In fact, the grandkids are usually asking if "weenie stew" is what's for supper for the night when we are heading too our family camping spot.
