Those are some good ones!  Have done many variations of Axle's recipe.  So here's mine.

Truck camping; Use your big late morning breakfast or your lunch fire.  Take three or four grouse, rabbits, or if it's not season yet, bring two chickens.  Cut them up and brown them in a Dutch Oven over your fire, (before it gets quite down to the coals stage).  Cut up and add a bunch of onions, spuds, carrots or whatever you happen to have.  Depending on how big your Dutch Oven is, and how much stuff you have in it, add a cup or two of water, (or beer if you are short on water) and a whole 16 to 18 oz. bottle of bbq sauce.   By now you should have a good bed of coals in your fire.  Put your Dutch Oven down deep in the coals so the coals go up the sides, and cover the top with coals.  Now cover the whole thing with dirt, sand, whatever.  Go for a three or four hour hike, (or a short evening hunt), dinner will be ready when you get back.

Backpack camping; Take your ultra light pop-can alcohol stove and boil up some water and cook some top ramen.  I only use half of the seasoning packet, and add some lemon pepper.  Add one of those packets of tuna.  Bon apetit!

Man, I should've had breakfast before looking at this thread. I know its only feb but I need to go camping now just for the grub!
I've added a little cream of mushroom soup to my spuds, sausage, eggs and cheese then wrap in a flour tortilla so its not so crumbly.
Definitley sticks to the ribs for some serious comfort food.

Over an open fire I like to cook brisket (london Broil works too)

1 slab of meat size depending how many you are feeding
marinade
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 TB lemon juice
2-3 cloves garlic minced
1 TB italian seasoning
(simple but extremely tasty)
Marinate several hrs or overnight

Grill over open coals using a fish or BBQ basket if you don't have a fire grate

I had it last night on the BBQ. Awsome. I like it medium rare.

Camping dessert - "Slugs"

tinfoil over the end of a stick (or 1" dowel if you're fancy)
roll canned biscuit over the tinfoil like a condom (this part can be pretty funny depending on amount of alcohol consumed)
cook over open fire
remove from foil and fill with butter and jam

I always make the egg, hashbrowns and sausage mix too.

Since the meals are covered already, how about dessert.

Reese's Peanut Butter cup Smores. Slide the PB cup and marshmallow onto a two pronged metal skewer with the marshmallow on the end. Keep rotating it so it doesn't melt the PB cup off. When the marshmallow is nice and brown, slide it all in between a couple of graham crackers.

If you don't have type 2 diabetes yet, you will after eating these.

heres somthing that never has leftovers and very simple.
at home before leaving i make a meatloaf all in a 1 gal ziploc bag and mix so not to have a mess
also take some uncut potatos
mix up some corn bread also in a bag
take stuff for a dump cake

when you get to camp and want to cook break out the dutch ovens and get the coals ready.
the meatloaf is in loaf form cut the bottem of the bag and drop it in,cut the spuds into wedges and line around the loaf
cut the corner of cornbread bag and squeeze in onother dutch oven
layer in dump cake ing.and enjoy with out any mess to deal with

Dump Cake?  That's what I used to call not wiping well enough... Looks like I better start using another term...

Toyman, in all seriousness, sounds like an easy recipe.... I never feel like I have enough time though to break out the dutch oven, especially during the hunt... May have to try that while camping this summer...
