Slam Bam thank you ma'am -at Bonneville (near perfect day)
« on: February 15, 2010, 08:59:54 PM »
We totaled the fish today with 40 to the boat and 25 of which were keepers sized.....  Big one 53" and a 51" and couple 47's" to go home with....  One heck of a day, one of the best I have to date.  Found the mother lode of a hole....  My arms are sore, my butt is sore from the 3 1/2 hours each way drive and hands hurt from processing fish....  A day dreams are made of for sure.  A bit windy but we found a little secluded area....  Oh I am ready to play hooky from work before they close it.....

Wow, what a day on the water, and with the kids to boot, very very cool.

what a day. sure looks like im missing out on a great season so far.  :bash:

i remember having days like that, landing 40+ fish with a few around 6ft thrown into the mix. and tons of under-sized fish.
catching them on a 8'6" 8-17 certified pro with 50lb powerpro and an abu garcia 5500 made for some really fun exhausting days. though it was hard finding spots where 3oz sinker would hold the bottom.
