Put New Camera out
« on: February 23, 2010, 05:19:26 PM »
I got my first trail camera for Christmas and finally got around to putting it out in Feb.  Had the date wrong on the first couple before I realized it was wrong.  Got a few does, a cow and a squirel.  Have a few eyes at night, but nothing to be able to tell what it was.  Hopefully I get some better sets as I get to know it better.

Leaving it the 1st try. Took my 3 yr old daughter with me to set it up.

1st Deer.

Set it in another place for 3 weeks after only having a few deer.  Got Nothing in 3 weeks.
Moved to another spot and decided to check after 6 days and this is what I got.

Been out for a few weeks in different spots.  I try to check it once a week.

It is the Moultrie 5mp cabellas brand camera.

Hopefully I will have a more pics as the weeks go on!

Are you using a salt block to get them in close?
Cut em!

No Salt block yet.  Just putting the camera in spots that have beat down visible trails for now.

Just a tip but try pointing it away from the sun to avoid false triggers.  It doesn't appear than you got any but I've filled up a memory card more than once with nothign but washed out sunny pics.  I aim mine northeast if I can and under shaded areas that avoid direct sunlight.  Great shots for your first set!

It is the Cabelas Branded Moutrie 5MP.  Seems to work pretty good.
