Help with an ultra concealable pistol???
« on: March 05, 2010, 08:49:55 PM »
looking for a pocket gun, ie ultra concealable pistol.  What does everyone recomend???  I am looking at the walther ppk .380 or S&W .357 hammerless but would consider anything.  I just want small and reliable.  I currently carry a kimber 4" but want something smaller for every day carry.

Also what do you use?

My choice is my Makarov, had it for years now.  But I like the S&W 60 too.

For reliability, I don't think you can beat one of the sub-compact Glocks.

Ultra concealable?

4.52" long and 3.71" tall - Very well made too.

Next to a little Kel-Tec .380

Try this one, it was good enough to get a little kid sent home from school.  Must be deadly!  :yike:

ULTRA concealable and double-stack mags don't work together.
First would be a Kahr PM-series..I carry 9mm, but its available in .40 and .45.
Second would be Ruger LCP or SW 442/642.
If you've never shot 357 magnumb out of a lightweight snub, you're in for an awakening.
Easily the most violent handgun I've ever shot.
38+P is the better choice.
If you want to shoot my Kahr PM9, Pm me.

Fishnate

That is one of the guns I've been looking at, except hammerless .357.  I really like it and I know that when I pull the trigger it will go BOOM every time.  I am shying away from auto's because the can jam, and in real close quarters that could be really bad.   But I do really like the walther and am well versed in auto's so I know the first shot will go BOOM....just never know about the next 6.   :dunno:  Maybe I just need to buy both. :chuckle:

I went with a smith 340pd for what i call my ultra/lightweight/minimal clothes/summer/carry piece. I did look at and still might buy (although you have find one) kimber RCP which they do not make anymore, .45auto, no hammer, no sights and rounded corners.
