Help with an ultra concealable pistol???

looking for a pocket gun, ie ultra concealable pistol.  What does everyone recomend???  I am looking at the walther ppk .380 or S&W .357 hammerless but would consider anything.  I just want small and reliable.  I currently carry a kimber 4" but want something smaller for every day carry.

ULTRA concealable and double-stack mags don't work together.
First would be a Kahr PM-series..I carry 9mm, but its available in .40 and .45.
Second would be Ruger LCP or SW 442/642.
If you've never shot 357 magnumb out of a lightweight snub, you're in for an awakening.
Easily the most violent handgun I've ever shot.
38+P is the better choice.

That is one of the guns I've been looking at, except hammerless .357.  I really like it and I know that when I pull the trigger it will go BOOM every time.  I am shying away from auto's because the can jam, and in real close quarters that could be really bad.   But I do really like the walther and am well versed in auto's so I know the first shot will go BOOM....just never know about the next 6.    Maybe I just need to buy both.

I went with a smith 340pd for what i call my ultra/lightweight/minimal clothes/summer/carry piece. I did look at and still might buy (although you have find one) kimber RCP which they do not make anymore, .45auto, no hammer, no sights and rounded corners.

I have shot one of these and I like them alot wife's getting one for the purse. And if the .357 is to much and it is a bit put in the .38 nice to have options

Check out the Ruger LCR too.  I went out to buy a S&W J-frame, and wound up with the Ruger - much nicer trigger pull, better grip, and lighter than all but the Ti Smiths.  I seriously doubt I'll ever need even one of the 5 shots, but just in case I carry a Safariland speed loader in the other pocket, and two Bianchi speed strips in the breast pocket (jacket weather) or back pocket (t-shirt weather).  I REALLY like the pocket holster in the cargo shorts setup, though I also carry inside the waistband with other styles.

I carried an AMT Backup .380 for many years.  I plan to replace it with either the Ruger LCP or the KelTec .380.  

When I was young and poor and every dollar counted, my very first carry gun was a $52 Jennings J-22 (brande new, in the box).  It took some minor work to make it cycle reliably.  I killed the first live coyote I ever saw in NH with a CCI Stinger out of that "piece of Pelosi".  Dropped her right in her tracks at about 9 feet (I was in full camo and kee-keeing like a turkey poult).  

Really made me a believer that any gun is better than no gun, as long as you are proficient with it.  Whatever you choose to carry, invest the time and $ to put a few hundred rounds through it and really know your gun.  Ultra-concealable, self-defense handguns are the most difficult, and least fun, of all firearms to master, IMHO.  And unquestionably the most important TO master.

Going to toss my vote in for a Glock 26 or 27.  I carry the 26 with a G17 17 rounder for my second mag.  27 rounds available in a small package.  The 17 mag fits in a old flap folding knife sheath.  Reliable and accurate.

check out the walther pk380,  it is pretty much the same as the p22, and not to bad on the price either i have seen it in stores around my area for $300-$320 new.

If your HUGE like my buddy (6'8" damn near 300 lbs...and not fat!!!) you can carry a baby eagle .45 in an inside the pants holster and no one knows!!!!  For us normal people....i like the subcompact glocks.  Taurus makes a subcompact that resembles the glock alot as well.

if i am thinking or the same gun as rudy it is the pt 140 or the 145, they are nice guns but the problem i found with mine is the mag. release wears out fast, i mean like a couple hundred rounds fast, and what will end up happening is with every shot the mag falls out,  taurus will fix this though, so just be aware weather new or used it will more than likely happen as it did with two other people i know.

Actually, in my opinion, us big guys have a problem with concealed carry, with love handles and all, it makes it really hard for an inside the pants holster...your shirt really telegraphs the gun...  I prefer inside pocket liner... which means a smaller handgun....this seems to work better for me....

My buddies have been picking up the new little Ruger .380.  That is about as small and light weight as they come.  Great concealment pistol.  Just practice a lot, so if you have to shoot it you can hit the correct spot to knock them down.

Okay guy's, here is your chuckle for the day. ALOT of the time when I leave the house, I just grab my little Baretta "Bobcat" .22LR loaded with CCI Stingers. I just put it in my pants pocket. No holster needed. I figure if push comes to shove, when you start putting holes in someone they are going to stop doing whatever they were doing for you to shoot them. My wife carries a S&W 640 hammerless in .357 Mag. She carries it in a Galco shoulder holster that fits her like a glove. I also really like the Galco holsters and products. I have the same shoulder holster that my wife has and if she is staying home and I am going to be gone for the day, then I take her .357. I REALLY like that little wheel gun.

Spent yesterday looking at guns.  I really like the Walther pps in 40 S&W that thing is sweet and hands down the smallest and thinest I have seen in a larger caliber.  I looked at a lot of what you guys have recomended and now have it narrowed down to three:  1.  Walther pps in 40 S&W  2.  Walther ppk .380 and a   3.  S&W  340 pd  (in no particular order). 

Has anyone ever shot that Walther pps in 40 S&W......If so tell me how you liked it.

S & W hammerless  model 642 with laser sight grips...  2" barre; and air light frame....  Weighs nothing at all and fits in any front pocket of blue jeans...  Nothing at all to snag anywhere, a simple point and squeeze..  My favorite carry gun, I don't leave home without it....  Out of all the guns I got, if in a situations, this one is mindless and worry free.
